Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating commercial trucks to transport goods over long distances and ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes, delivery driving, and a strong understanding of DOT regulations. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. Deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner, maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations at all times, including hours of service, load securement, and vehicle maintenance standards. Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during trips. Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and transported without damage or loss. Keep logs of driving hours, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance records as required by DOT regulations. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially over-the-road (OTR) routes. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial transportation. Excellent driving skills with the ability to operate large vehicles under various road conditions. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch and clients. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
