Ancon LogisticsJob Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of delivering freight across diverse routes! You will operate a variety of trucks—including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks—ensuring timely and secure deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise will keep our logistics moving smoothly, providing essential services that connect communities and businesses alike. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with a CDL A license across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport. Transport various types of freight including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, refrigerated items, and specialty loads like tanker or flatbed cargo. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules, route changes, or special handling instructions. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record, preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances. Familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, DRY VAN Knowledge of FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service, load securement, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling processes and truck loading/unloading procedures. Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes for efficiency and safety.
