Duties Operate commercial trucks with a valid CDL A license to transport goods over various distances, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning of all equipment. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or any issues encountered on the road. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies at all times during operations. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, following proper safety procedures. Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly for maintenance or investigation purposes. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to commercial transportation. Ability to operate large vehicles safely under various road conditions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for recordkeeping and route planning. Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients. Physical ability to perform tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and performing vehicle inspections.
