Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and other specialized trailers, across assigned routes and OTR driving routes Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing and adherence to logistics cargo handling protocols Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules Transport automobiles and hazardous materials in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations (Hazmat) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly Load & unload freight safely, adhering to truck loading and unloading procedures while managing dangerous goods responsibly Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or safety concerns Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial truck driving Demonstrated experience with refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials transportation, and automobile transportation preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Proficiency in route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient deliveries Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely Experience with freight logistics cargo handling, load & unload procedures, and truck loading/unloading operations Strong understanding of safety protocols related to dangerous goods and hazardous materials regulations Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence Embark on a career that drives your passion forward!
