Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across assigned routes. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring accuracy and safety. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and compliance with safety regulations. Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards. Deliver freight promptly to various locations, managing multiple stops with precision and professionalism. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered on the road. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo details, and inspection reports in accordance with federal regulations. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery; familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required. Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and safety procedures for commercial vehicles. Excellent physical stamina for long hours on the road and manual handling tasks associated with freight management. Experience with various truck types such as tractor-trailers or specialized equipment like tanker or flatbed trucks is advantageous.
