Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securement for various types of loads including hazardous materials, dangerous goods, refrigerated freight, flatbed loads, and tankers Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and route planning Transport automobile transportation or other specialized cargo with precision and care Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for hazards related to hazardous materials regulations and truck loading/unloading procedures Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and safety personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) and dangerous goods handling is highly desirable Ability to operate refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment as needed Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service, load securement, and safety protocols Physical ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely; comfort with long hours on the road Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
