Job Overview As a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) A Truck Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll operate tractor-trailers and may handle refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation loads, depending on the assignment. Use GPS navigation and route planning to complete deliveries while following applicable safety and transportation requirements. Duties Drive commercial trucks on assigned delivery and OTR routes; inspect vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns. Secure, load, and unload freight using safe manual-handling practices and approved cargo equipment. Transport cargo that may include dangerous goods; follow hazardous materials regulations and required handling procedures when assigned. Maintain accurate delivery and trip records, and communicate route or shipment issues promptly. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help protect the public and ensure customers receive freight safely and on schedule. Experience Required: Valid CDL Class A and a safe driving record; ability to operate a tractor-trailer, including a manual transmission when required. Required: Knowledge of commercial truck driving, delivery driving, truck loading and unloading, and logistics cargo handling. Required: Ability to follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Preferred: Delivery driver experience, route driving, and experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or automobile transportation. Preferred: Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience and familiarity with applicable dangerous goods requirements. Pay: $400.00 - $401.00 per day Work Location: In person
