Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, on OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules and timely arrivals Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to logistics cargo handling protocols Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to verify mechanical condition and compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery updates, or any issues encountered during transit Experience 2 + years of experience in Over The Road (OTR). At least 2-3 weeks out and 3 days home. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is highly desirable Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations and safety standards for truck loading/unloading Experience handling logistics cargo handling tasks such as load securing and trailer inspection Prior work with freight transportation involving flatbed, dry van, or power only loads Strong understanding of GPS navigation tools and route planning software to optimize delivery efficiency What We Offer 2019 Kenworth T680, automatic, twin bed full cabin in sleeper with APU unit - well maintained Dispatch support. Requirements Valid Class A CDL Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience Clean driving record: no moving violations, no preventable accidents, and no DUI/DWI in the past 3 years Clean PSP report and no drug or alcohol violations in the FMCSA Clearinghouse Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and hold a current DOT medical card Able to run OTR and stay out for 2-3 weeks at a time Professional, dependable, and good at communicating load status Screening steps.
