Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage long-distance travel efficiently. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license with more than one year of driving experience and a proven track record of safe driving on over-the-road routes. Duties Operate commercial trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and delivery documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during trips. Ensure cargo is properly secured and handled with care during transit. Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure personal and public safety during operations. Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with more than one year of experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving. Proven experience operating commercial trucks on long-distance routes. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for long-haul driving. Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and clients. Ability to handle extended periods away from home while maintaining professionalism and focus.
