Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport goods to various destinations. This role involves not only driving but also loading and unloading cargo, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, attention to safety, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with cargo handling. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL A trucks to transport goods over designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely, ensuring proper handling of all items. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities. Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Assist with securing cargo to prevent damage during transit. Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a commercial truck driver, preferably with experience in loading and unloading cargo. Ability to handle physical tasks related to cargo loading/unloading. Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws governing commercial vehicle operation. Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength to perform loading/unloading duties as required.
