COM Clerk

COM Clerk (Customer's Own Materials) · Full-time, on-site We design and manufacture custom furniture for hotels, restaurants and other hospitality spaces. Our clients always supply their own fabrics and leathers, and every yard has to reach the right factory, on time, tagged for the right project. We're looking for a COM Clerk to own that process. You'll receive, track and store customer-supplied fabric and leather, then prepare and ship it by air freight to our partner factories in Vietnam, China and Mexico, several times a week. This role is for you if you love a clean inventory, a well-labeled shelf and a shipment that leaves on schedule. It moves fast: multiple projects, multiple destinations and deadlines that don't wait. What you'll do Receive, inspect and log incoming COM fabrics and leathers against purchase orders and projects Keep an accurate, real-time inventory of every roll and hide Prepare, label and document air freight shipments to overseas factories multiple times a week Coordinate with project managers, freight forwarders and factory teams so materials arrive when production needs them Flag shortages, damage and discrepancies early What you bring 3+ years in inventory, warehouse, logistics or materials management Experience with international shipping and air freight documentation Exceptional organization and attention to detail Energy for a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities Bonus: experience with textiles, upholstery or furniture manufacturing Pay: $30–$35 per hour based on experience, plus overtime and benefits To apply, send your resume and a short note about how you keep track of a lot of moving pieces.
