Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare ServicesThe Client Services Coordinator is the welcoming first point of contact for clients, visitors, military families, and community members accessing the Comox Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC). This position plays an important role in creating a positive client experience while supporting the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Centre. Working in both English and French, the Client Services Coordinator provides responsive client service, information, and referrals, while assisting with a variety of administrative and program support functions. The role is diverse and hands-on, with responsibilities ranging from reception and office administration to supporting programs, events, and occasional basic financial and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: Client Services · Welcome clients and visitors and provide information and referrals regarding MFRC programs, services, workshops, activities, and community resources in both English and French. · Respond to client inquiries in person, by telephone, and electronically in both official languages, as required. · Maintain and update membership lists, client records, and related administrative information. · Process military member clear- in /outs, DAGS, and releases accurately and efficiently. · Maintain current information and resource materials related to MFRC programs, services, and local community support. Office Administration & Reception · Manage and maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional reception area for clients and visitors. · Clean the staff room during weeks assigned to the MFRC. · Pick up and distribute incoming and outgoing mail through the post office and base. · Organize office supplies, maintain inventory, and assist with procurement as required. · Maintain MFRC bulletin boards with current information and announcements. · Provide administrative support to the Board of Directors as required. Staff & Programming Support · Support event setup, registration, and follow-up as required. · Provide general administrative and logistical support to ensure MFRC programs and activities run smoothly. · Assist MFRC staff with program-related administrative tasks and other operational needs as required. What We’re Looking For: Education & Experience · Post-secondary education or diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. · Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalent training and experience. · Previous experience in client service, reception, office administration, and basic finance or bookkeeping. · Experience working with databases, online applications, and Microsoft Office or similar software. · Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. · Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French. · Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
