Cleaner Janitor - Office and Warehouse Building

Janitorial Position We are seeking a dedicated Office and Warehouse Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks across office and warehouse spaces and ensuring that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and values consistency and quality. Key Responsibilities Early morning position. Start at 600 AM 5 days per week Perform daily cleaning and custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe facility. Dusting. Sweeping. Mopping. Vacuuming etc., Gather and dispose of trash and recycling Clean and sanitize washrooms Clean and sanitize all common areas Clean walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, fixtures, and woodwork (using step and extension ladders as required) Properly prepare and mix cleaning solutions according to specifications Load and unload dishwashers Watering domestic plants in office and work areas Determine appropriate cleaning materials, tools, and equipment for assigned tasks Maintain cleaning records and inventories of cleaning and toiletry supplies Safely operate equipment such as a mechanical floor sweeper, motorized floor Vacuum cleaners of various sizes Coordinate with internal teams or external vendors when repairs or services are required Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and kitchens Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Qualifications & Requirements of the Applicant Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning supplies and equipment Ability to work independently and complete daily tasks thoroughly with minimal supervision Able and comfortable to work from ladders. Max 10’ tall Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility Basic computer skills for email and internal cleaning records Pleasant, professional demeanor Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) Well-organized and dependable Physically able to: Lift up to 20 kg regularly Remain on your feet for extended periods Comfortable working in an active, hands-on environment Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining facility standards Must be able to pass background checks as required by the employer Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits: Casual dress Dental care Disability insurance Flexible schedule Life insurance On-site parking Vision care Wellness program Application question(s): Do you live in the St Thomas, Aylmer, Central Elgin, London or Southwold area?
