Class C Delivery Driver (Touch Freight)

Company Overview We are a food distributor located in Chino Hills, California. Job Type: Full-Time / Local Routes Schedule: [Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM Start] Job Summary: You will operate a 26ft box truck to make local multi-stop deliveries to retail and commercial clients. This is a physical, high-energy "product touch" role. Drivers are responsible for unloading, organizing, and verifying cargo at each stop using a liftgate, pallet jack, or hand truck. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a standard Class C commercial box truck on local California routes. Load, secure, transport, and physically unload product safely at customer locations (touch freight). Use liftgates, manual/electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move freight. Verify delivery paperwork and invoice accuracy at each stop using a mobile scanning device. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections (DVIR). Maintain professional, productive relationships with retail partners and clients. Qualifications & Requirements: Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License. Minimum of 1–2 years of professional driving experience (experience with 14ft–26ft box trucks preferred). Clean DMV driving record (no more than 1–2 points; no major violations or DUIs within the last 3–5 years). Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly. Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills. Must be at least 21 years of age for commercial insurance compliance.
