Class B CDL Driver

Class B CDL Driver Job Description We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class B CDL Driver to join our team in Cut Off, LA. The ideal candidate will have experience driving in a saw mill environment and possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Responsibilities Operate Class B vehicles safely and efficiently within the saw mill and surrounding areas. Transport lumber and related materials to and from the saw mill site. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload materials as needed, following all safety protocols. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies. Qualifications Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Proven experience as a saw mill Class B driver or similar role. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Good communication and time management skills. Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious. Required Skills/Abilities: Must maintain an active CDL license and Medical Card Ability to drive safely. Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Ability to plan delivery routes. Ability to maintain basic logs and records. Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision. Able to remain professional and courteous at all times. Education and Experience: Valid CDL driver’s license, current medical card and clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
