The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating, loading, and securing frieght on a stepdeck trailer. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes efficiently while delivering goods in a timely manner. Because of this he does not spend time "micromanaging" drivers. However he's only one call aways if you need help. ) Duties Operate 53’ stepdeck with all traffic laws and regulations. Execute route driving to deliver products to designated locations while adhering to scheduled timelines. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues. Adhere to all company policies regarding safety protocols and transportation regulations. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Ability to operate various heavy machinery enough to drive up ramps and secure Ability to secure flatbed/stepdeck cargo Strong skills in loading and unloading cargo efficiently. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the road.
