Job description: Overview: Join our team as a Commercial Driver's License Class A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across diverse routes. Responsibilities : Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles such as refrigerated trailers to transport freight across designated routes. Secure cargo using Load bars or straps ensuring proper handling of goods. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Deliver freight promptly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations; maintain accurate delivery documentation. Manage route driving efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules to meet customer expectations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries, providing excellent service throughout the process. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations including hours-of-service rules. Requirements: Recent Grads are welcome in our training program. Valid Commercial Driver License A with a clean driving record; experience driving tractor-trailers preferred. Proficiency in operating trucks; experience with refrigerated trailers trucks is highly desirable. Prior driver experience demonstrating safe driving practices skills preferred. Knowledge of route driving techniques with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. Physical ability to perform duties that include climbing in/out of trucks, and extended periods of driving or standing.
