Class A CDL Long Haul Truck Driver – Texas Routes Job Summary We are looking for a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Long Haul Truck Driver to join our growing team. This is an over-the-road (OTR) position primarily running between California and Texas hauling dry-van freight. Drivers will operate well-maintained Kenworth T680 tractors equipped with MANUAL 10-speed transmissions. We are looking for professional drivers who take pride in their equipment, communicate well with dispatch, and understand the importance of safe, reliable, on-time delivery. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer on long-haul routes, primarily to and from Texas Operate Kenworth T680 trucks with manual 10-speed transmissions Transport dry-van freight safely and efficiently Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain accurate electronic logs and required shipping documentation Follow all FMCSA and DOT regulations, including Hours-of-Service requirements Follow all applicable hazmat regulations when transporting hazardous materials Use GPS and route-planning tools to safely and efficiently complete trips Verify freight is properly loaded and secured before departure Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding pickup, delivery, delays, equipment issues, or route changes Maintain assigned truck in clean, professional condition Report mechanical or safety concerns promptly Provide professional and courteous service at customer facilities Requirements Valid Class A CDL 3 Years Experience Clean and acceptable driving record OTR or long-haul commercial driving experience preferred Must be able to confidently operate a manual 10-speed transmission Experience operating tractor-trailers and 53-foot dry vans Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT safety regulations Ability to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections Comfortable using ELD, GPS, and electronic communication systems Hazmat experience or endorsement is a plus Strong communication and time-management skills Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while on the road Equipment & Routes Trucks: Kenworth T680 Transmission: MANUAL 10-Speed Trailer: 53’ Dry Van Freight: Primarily dry freight Routes: Primarily California–Texas / Texas–California long-haul routes This is a MANUAL transmission position. Applicants must be comfortable operating a 10-speed manual tractor.
