Class A CDL Truck Driver Port Operations -Local- ELIZABETH NJ 07201

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Truck Driver for both local port operations. This position involves operating company trucks Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of freight while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Candidates must have excellent driving skills, and experience working in port environments. Requirements: Valid TWIC Card (mandatory) Minimum of 1 year of experience working at ports Ability to perform both local and OTR runs Strong safety record and reliability All drivers are required to complete a mandatory paid training week Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working order. Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately and ensure the truck is clean and well-maintained. Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all local traffic laws, industry regulations, and safety protocols. Maintain a clean driving record and comply with company standards. Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients or warehouse staff in a professional and courteous manner. Address any delivery-related issues promptly and professionally. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of daily trips, including mileage, fuel usage, delivery times, and any incidents or issues. Complete all necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including shipping documents and receipts.
