Class a CDL truck driver, local and over the road

Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Class A CDL Truck Driver, specializing in both local deliveries and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across regional and national routes while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Operate a commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, power only Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for compliance with hazardous materials regulations and truck loading requirements. Deliver freight accurately to local businesses or over-the-road destinations while maintaining a high level of customer service. Manage documentation related to freight shipments, including logs, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork for hazardous or dangerous goods. Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and manual transmission operation. Experience Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for local deliveries and OTR routes. Familiarity with power only and 53’ DRY VANS A MUST DRIVING SKILLS WILL NE TESTED Knowledge of FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service, vehicle maintenance, load securement, and hazardous materials handling. Experience operating manual transmission trucks NOT A MUST ability to handle complex logistics cargo handling tasks efficiently. Ability to navigate using GPS systems confidently while adhering to DOT regulations during long-haul trips.
