Class A CDL Truck Driver
Steel Fab Enterprises, LLCEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drive trucks from location to location, and position as required on job sites. Read maps and follow DOT route directions. Operate company vehicles/equipment in a safe and courteous manner and properly always park and secure vehicles. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures. Perform necessary inspection of equipment and fill out inspection forms. Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors. Operate vehicles and equipment safely and use safe work habits. Review daily work schedules to determine sequences, and special loading instructions. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Always conducts self in a professional, ethical and courteous manner as a representative of Steel Fab. Loading and unloading material required. Securing loads and assuring loads are within weight limits. Verifying count and condition of materials when loading and unloading. Reporting vehicle maintenance needs. Complying with Department of Transportation regulations. Maintaining a clean driving record. Representing the company in a professional, courteous, and presentable manner always. Participate in all company training. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Valid Class A license, and clean driving record Must have Class A CDL driver’s license to travel to various locations and job sites. Tow Motor Certification. Language and Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend basic drawings, instructions, safety procedures, and memos. Ability to communicate with other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Basic shop math. Able to read tape measure. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
