Class A CDL Regional Driver

About us GLM Transport is a growing transportation company based in Van Wert, Ohio that is currently hiring regional drivers and we recently expanded to Marion, IN. We currently have 160+ trucks that run mainly 60/40 dry vans to reefer loads with the ability to run nationally as well. 90% of our dry van freight is drop and hook, and reefer loads are no touch freight. Job Overview As a Class A CDL Regional Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across regional routes. You’ll operate a tractor-trailer, plan routes with GPS navigation, and handle cargo according to its type and applicable safety requirements. This paid position may involve refrigerated trailers or flatbeds depending on the load. *Currently offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus for qualifying drivers* Responsibilities Drive commercial trucks on regional routes, completing pickups and deliveries on schedule. Use GPS navigation and route-driving procedures to plan and follow assigned routes. Secure freight; perform manual handling when needed and follow safe truck-loading practices. Inspect and maintain the vehicle and cargo, and document trips, deliveries, and any issues. Your impact: Safe, careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive their freight reliably and protect other road users. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and ability to operate a tractor-trailer. Commercial truck-driving, commercial driving, delivery-driving, or truck-driving experience; regional route experience is an asset. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hazardous materials rules when applicable. Ability to do proper pre- and post-trip check. Properly track and document e-logs. Report any incidents or issues to dispatch. Adhere to pickup and delivery schedules. Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT regulated drug screening.
