Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment Load and unload cargo using forklift or other necessary equipment, ensuring secure handling of freight Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record 2 years experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and securing cargo safely Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance Physical ability to perform duties that may include lifting heavy loads and performing inspections in different environments Embark on a fulfilling career where your driving skills make a difference!
