Class A CDL OTR Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Class A CDL Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver and embark on an exciting journey delivering freight across extensive routes nationwide. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers equipped for refrigerated and dry van, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service and safety. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across long-distance OTR routes, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Drive various types of freight including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (Hazmat), dangerous goods, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments, ensuring proper handling and compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes and adapt to changing traffic conditions to meet delivery schedules. Ability to safely operate a truck and trailer (at least 26,000lbs. GVW) Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and securing cargo. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and cargo manifests in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and logistics cargo handling procedures. Ability to utilize GPS navigation for route planning to adhere for pickup and delivery schedules. 23 years of age or older Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service. 2 years of experience (preferrred) 2,500-3,000 miles possible per week.
