AHI Supply is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Flatbed Truck Driver to join our team in Alvin, Texas! This is a local delivery position serving the Greater Houston area, transporting construction and masonry materials to residential and commercial job sites. We're looking for drivers who show up on time, work safely, communicate well, and understand the importance of getting the job done right. Pay & Schedule $21.00 per hour without Hazmat Endorsement (HME) $22.00 per hour with Hazmat Endorsement (HME) $1,500 sign-on bonus Monday through Friday Scheduled start time: 4:30 AM Workday ends when assigned deliveries and responsibilities are completed Drivers average approximately 50 hours per week Workdays may last 10 to 13 hours, depending on delivery schedules and business needs Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required Important: This is an early-morning position with long, physically active workdays. Applicants must be able to consistently report to work by 4:30 AM and remain available until their assigned work is completed. What You'll Do As a Class A CDL Driver at AHI Supply, you'll play an important role in delivering the materials our customers depend on. Your responsibilities will include: Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer with a flatbed trailer. Deliver construction and masonry materials to residential and commercial customers throughout the Houston area. Load and unload materials using a forklift. Properly strap, secure, and tarp loads as required. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Verify delivery tickets, product quantities, and shipping documentation for accuracy. Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, routes, and customer needs. Identify and immediately report equipment defects, mechanical problems, or safety concerns. Follow all DOT/FMCSA regulations and AHI Supply safety procedures. Assist with additional loads and operational responsibilities when needed. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience. Experience operating tractor-trailers and hauling flatbed loads. Experience properly strapping and securing loads. Forklift experience. Must be at least 21 years old. Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and meet applicable DOT requirements. Ability to successfully complete a road test. Ability to pass required pre-employment screening. Dependable transportation and ability to report to work at 4:30 AM. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, coworkers, and customers. Hazmat Endorsement: A current Hazmat Endorsement is preferred. Drivers without an endorsement must be willing and able to obtain one within 90 days of hire. Physical Requirements This is a hands-on driving position, not a drop-and-hook job. Drivers must be comfortable with: Working outdoors in Texas heat, cold, and changing weather conditions. Climbing in and out of trucks and operating forklifts. Bending, lifting, walking, and performing physical tasks throughout the day. Frequently lifting or moving materials weighing more than 50 pounds. Securing loads and completing physical vehicle inspections. Working extended shifts when delivery demands require it.
