Class A CDL driver Yard jockey 1 month contract

Job Summary Join our team as a Class A CDL Yard Jockey for a one-month contract. You’ll move tractor-trailers safely around the yard, position trailers for loading and unloading, and support efficient freight flow. This paid contract role calls for confident commercial truck driving and careful attention to safety and equipment. Hours are 6am-6pm work is available 7 days a week. A minimum of 2 days a week is required. Duties Move and spot tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, in the yard; connect and position equipment for loading and unloading. Support logistics cargo handling by coordinating trailer placement and communicating with yard and warehouse teams. Perform truck loading and unloading tasks as assigned, using safe manual handling practices. Your impact: Accurate trailer placement helps warehouse teams move freight efficiently and keeps shipments progressing safely. Follow applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, along with hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements when relevant. Skills Required: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), safe driving practices, commercial driving experience, and ability to operate a manual transmission. Preferred: Yard jockey, truck driving, delivery driving, route driving, delivery driver, or over-the-road (OTR) experience; familiarity with GPS navigation and automobile transportation. Knowledge of freight, flatbed and tanker trailers, hazmat (hazardous materials), refrigerated trailers, and tractor-trailer equipment is useful. Able to safely load and unload, handle cargo manually, and follow applicable safety procedures. Pay: $300.00 per day Work Location: In person
