Class A CDL Truck Driver/Material Handler About You You are a dependable, safety-focused truck driver responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of materials and supplies for The Warren Company and its customers. You are comfortable working independently, communicating with customers and coworkers, safely loading and securing materials, and operating company vehicles and lifting equipment. Job Summary The Truck Driver/Material Handler is responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of materials and supplies for The Warren Company and its customers. This role requires compliance with DOT and company requirements, proper loading and securement of materials, vehicle inspections, effective customer communication, and maintaining clean and well-maintained company trucks. When not making deliveries, the Truck Driver/Material Handler is to assist in any department as directed by management. Day in the Life As a Class A CDL Certified Truck Driver/Material Handler, you can expect to: · Perform pre-and post-trip inspection in accordance with DOT and company requirements · Safely load, unload, transport, and secure materials while protecting material integrity · Determine appropriate weight distribution and unsure loads are within vehicle capacity · Properly strap, chain, and secure different types of materials in accordance with DOT and company standards · Verify material and piece counts before leaving the facility and upon delivery as appropriate · Follow assigned routes and make safe, timely deliveries to customers · Communicate effectively with customers regarding unloading needs, receiving times, and special instructions · Maintain accurate trip logs and required delivery documentation · Operate cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment as trained and qualified · Follow all DOT traffic laws, company safety procedures, and applicable requirements · Provide professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers · Return promptly to the Company upon completion of delivery runs and assist in any department as needed · Maintain clean, organized, and well-maintained trucks and work areas · Communicate daily with the Warehouse Supervisor regarding deliveries, issues, and other relevant information · Maintain knowledge of company materials, trucking routes, and safe material handling practices · Participate in training, professional development, and cross-training as needed · Perform other duties as assigned by management What You Need to Apply · High school diploma or equivalent required. · At least six (6) months of driving experience preferred, relevant experience and ability may be considered in place of this requirement · Valid and clean driver’s license with a Class A endorsement required · Valid DOT medical card · Knowledge of DOT requirements, safe driving practices, and load securement procedures · Ability to safely load, unload, lift, and secure materials using appropriate equipment and procedures · Ability to learn to operate cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment as required · Ability to lift a maximum weight limit of 70 pounds · Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and o…
