Clasificador y Tramitador Aduanal

Armando Garza and Sons, Inc is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Clasificador y Tramitador Aduanal / Customs Specialist to join our team in Laredo, TX. This position handles both technical merchandise classification and operational customs clearance for cross-border freight moving between the United States and Mexico. Key Responsibilities: Bullet Tariff Classification ( Clasificación Arancelaria ): Analyze commercial invoices, technical specs, and packing lists to assign accurate Mexican TIGIE (Fracción Arancelaria & NICO) and U.S. HTSUS codes. Bullet Regulatory Compliance: Verify Non-Tariff Regulations (RRNAs), Official Mexican Standards (NOMs), and eligibility under trade agreements (USMCA / T-MEC). Bullet Freight Inspection ( Previos ): Perform physical and documentary inspections of incoming merchandise in the warehouse to confirm piece counts, serial numbers, and condition prior to customs clearance. Bullet Customs Processing ( Tramitación ): Capture, review, and validate pedimento data and entry summaries using customs software (CASA, SLAM, SATO, or Darwin). Bullet Bridge & Dispatch Coordination: Coordinate cross-border dispatch across the World Trade Bridge and Colombia Solidarity Bridge, assisting with customs inspections ( reconocimientos aduaneros / rojos ). Bullet Stakeholder Communication: Maintain daily coordination with customs brokers ( agencias aduanales ), dispatchers, carrier drivers, and warehouse personnel. Qualifications & Requirements: Bullet 2+ years of hands-on experience in tariff classification and customs entry/traffic processing in a customs brokerage or logistics environment in Laredo or Nuevo Laredo. Bullet Strong working knowledge of Mexican customs law (Ley Aduanera, RGCE), General Rules of Interpretation, and U.S. entry fundamentals. Bullet Practical experience working with customs software (CASA, SLAM, SATO, Darwin) and Microsoft Excel. Bullet Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Bullet Valid legal authorization to work in the United States. Bullet Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict dispatch deadlines.
