Houston City Operations Manager DiLLO builds and operates 24/7 convenience stores inside apartment communities. We’re hiring a City Operations Manager to launch and lead our Houston operation. You will be DiLLO’s local operating leader. In the beginning, the team will be small. You will help set up the warehouse, prepare routes, stock stores, coordinate openings, and solve problems in person. As Houston grows, you will hire and lead the local team, build dependable routines, and remain accountable for the condition and performance of every store. You will work closely with DiLLO’s central procurement, technology, and leadership teams. We need someone who can think ahead, make sound decisions independently, and step in wherever the operation needs help. What you’ll own ● Store performance: Keep stores stocked, clean, organized, accessible, and in good working order. Review results and address problems before they become recurring issues. ● Routes and inventory: Plan dependable store visits. Oversee receiving, warehouse organization, picking, inventory accuracy, and replenishment. ● New store openings: Coordinate site readiness, contractors, equipment deliveries, installation, initial stocking, and opening follow through. ● Local team: Hire, train, schedule, coach, and hold Route Drivers and Warehouse Agents accountable as the market grows. ● Property relationships: Communicate with property teams, resolve operational concerns, and help each store become a valued amenity for residents. ● Maintenance and response: Triage store issues, coordinate contractors, and provide physical support when needed. ● Operating discipline: Track store conditions, route completion, inventory, expenses, and open issues. Identify what needs to improve and put better processes in place. Who we’re looking for You have helped run a vending, micro market, convenience retail, distribution, or similar route based operation. You understand how inventory accuracy, prepared routes, reliable equipment, and store appearance affect sales and the customer experience. In an emergency, you are confident about stocking a store or covering a route yourself. You can also plan the week, lead employees, coordinate vendors, communicate with property managers, and keep several openings and operating priorities moving at once. You bring: ● Experience leading frontline employees and daily operations. ● Strong organization, follow through, and inventory discipline. ● Good judgment and a practical approach to solving problems independently. ● Comfort with inventory software, mobile apps, and spreadsheets. ● Clear communication and a high standard for how stores should look and operate. ● Willingness to travel throughout Houston. What success looks like Houston’s stores open smoothly and stay stocked, clean, and dependable. Routes are prepared and completed. Inventory and expenses are controlled. Property teams trust DiLLO. Problems are resolved promptly, and the local team knows what good work looks like. As the market grows, you build an operation that can serve more stores without sacrificing quality.
