Chrome Stripping technician

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Chrome Stripping Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing chrome plating from metal components to prepare them for subsequent finishing processes such as powder coating or chrome plating. Your expertise will ensure that all stripping procedures meet strict quality standards, contributing to the production of high-quality finished products. Duties Operate industrial equipment and hand tools to strip chrome plating from various metal parts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Interpret production documents and specifications to determine the appropriate stripping method for each component. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including respirators and respiratory protection devices. Conduct visual color comparisons and surface inspections to verify the effectiveness of stripping processes and identify any surface imperfections. Utilize precision measuring instruments and hand tools for quality control checks during and after stripping operations. Skills Proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment used in coating removal processes. Experience with warehouse operations, inventory management, and the safe handling of materials in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respirator fitting, and adherence to industrial safety standards. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and process adjustments. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers for quality assurance purposes.
