Central Ordering/Inventory & Account Assistant
JORDANSCompany Overview Jordans, a leading Western Canadian Home Furnishing and Flooring company with over 97 years of industry success, is hiring a Full-Time Central Ordering, Inventory and Account Assistant in our Home Furnishing division located at our Coquitlam, BC Distribution Center. This position works closely with Warehousing/Distribution, Sales, and Management to maintain inventory controls and accuracy, improve customer service, and accounting needs to support the business. Key Responsibilities include: · Generate monthly Commissions reports and assist with response to queries on these reports · Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as requested by Controller · Reconcile specific GL accounts on monthly basis · Reconcile monthly sales reports for Interiors divisions · Assist with month-end and year-end activities · AD HOC support for finance and warehouse teams · Assist with filing claims for vendor claims INVENTORY CONTROL · Assist Central Ordering Department with inventory location/costing/routing · Assist with various Inventory takes and reconciliation · Investigate inventory discrepancies · Purchase order entry within ERP · Item creation within ERP · Inventory reporting within ERP ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: · Review, verify/match purchase orders to invoices · Review, verify/match Freight/Duties and brokerage to Inventory (Costing) · Process/input invoices into ERP (MS NAV), approx 30 invoices/week · Assist Senior Executives with auditing/monitoring Inventory Costing and Operation expenses · GL code for non-PO invoices · Assist with cheque runs and wire payments · Vendor Setup and Management in ERP · Vendor Account Reconciliation · Timely filing of all supplier invoices with appropriate documentation · Assist with collecting and distributing customs clearance documents to broker ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES · Monitor and maintain customer receivables on a monthly basis for all Interiors divisions · Monitor customer payments/deposits and ensure all un-applied payments are assigned · Communicate with stores on potential receivable issues · Assist with customer queries and account statements/reconciliation The successful candidate will have the following skills: · Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment · Positive, energetic, and responsible attitude with an interest in customer service · High level attention to detail and adherence to quality control/assurance measures · Ability to multitask, work independently, and learn new tasks · Proficiency with MS Excel and Word · Ability to learn or existing experience with basic Warehouse procedures in a warehouse/sales computer system. · Training in Accounting · Relevant work experience Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Company events Dental care Life insurance On-site parking Work Location: In person
