Previous The UPS Store experience is a major plus , as is experience with retail sales, printing, shipping, packaging, or customer service. We are a fast-paced, growth-driven store , and we are looking for employees who want to learn the business, contribute to the team's success, and be part of something bigger. What You'll Do As a Center Associate, you will work directly with customers to help solve their shipping, printing, packaging, and business-service needs. You'll be trained to confidently recommend products and services while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include: Greet customers and provide friendly, professional, and helpful service in person, by phone, and by email. Listen carefully to customers and identify the best solutions for their shipping, printing, packaging, and business needs. Process packages for shipment and help customers select appropriate shipping options. Assist customers with printing, copying, finishing, binding, laminating, and related services. Operate point-of-sale systems, cash registers, printers, copiers, and other store equipment. Process payments accurately and responsibly. Recommend products and services that meet customers' needs. Use sales skills to help the team meet and exceed store performance goals. Learn our products, services, terminology, procedures, and industry best practices. Provide excellent service to corporate clients and customers utilizing programs such as Amazon returns. Answer telephone and email inquiries professionally and follow up with customers when needed. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming store. Work effectively during busy periods and be willing to pivot between tasks as customer and store needs change. Perform additional duties as needed to support the team. What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, personable, professional, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced customer-service environment. Qualifications include: High school diploma or GED. Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred. Previous The UPS Store employment is a plus. Previous sales training is a plus. Printing, shipping, and/or packaging knowledge is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good spelling, math, typing, and handwriting skills. Ability to read cursive handwriting. Strong computer and internet skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office; Adobe software experience is a plus. Ability and willingness to learn new software and equipment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain positive and professional in stressful or busy situations. Good judgment, emotional maturity, honesty, and dependability. Professional appearance and demeanor. Prompt, reliable, responsible, and willing to work as part of a team. Ability to lift 50+ pounds . Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly walk, bend, reach, and twist. Ability to occasionally use a 6-foot ladder. Availability to work approximately 25–40 hours per week during our Monday–Saturday operating schedule, including some Saturdays. Ability to pass the required background check to become an Indiana Notary after the training period. Current Indiana Notary commission is a plus, but we are willing to help the right candidate work toward obtaining one. What We Offer Competitive Pay: $12–$15 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Notary Opportunity: Additional compensation may be available after obtaining your Indiana Notary commission.
