Job Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a CDL Yard Mule Driver, where your energy and precision will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you’ll operate heavy-duty yard mules and various material handling equipment to move trailers, containers, and goods within the yard and warehouse distribution center. Responsibilities Safely operate yard mules, forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo’s, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport trailers and goods within the yard. Load and unload shipments accurately using barcode scanning for logistics and order picking procedures. Manage inventory movement by organizing materials efficiently in accordance with warehouse management system (WMS) protocols. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Assist in shipping & receiving tasks by verifying shipment contents against documentation and maintaining detailed inbound/outbound logs. Follow warehouse safety protocols including manual handling techniques, heavy lifting procedures, and forklift safety standards to prevent accidents. Support warehouse distribution operations by coordinating trailer placements, managing load & unload activities, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. Skills Proficiency in operating a variety of warehouse equipment including forklift (lift truck), reach truck, cherry picker, clamp truck, pallet jack, Hi-Lo, and barcode scanning devices. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Knowledge of materials handling best practices including manual handling techniques and heavy lifting safety measures. Experience with shipping & receiving procedures along with familiarity with OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and shipment documentation accuracy. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and warehouse supervisors. Demonstrated commitment to safety standards in production environments and adherence to warehouse safety protocols.
