Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across assigned routes while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA guidelines Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable Transport automobile parts or other freight over long distances on OTR routes, maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck condition, including checking for hazardous materials or dangerous goods when necessary Ensure proper documentation for freight movement, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and compliance paperwork for hazardous or dangerous goods Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance needs, and route details in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates or delivery issues to optimize logistics cargo handling Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery and route driving Demonstrated knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling techniques for freight safety Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations and tanker or flatbed configurations is preferred Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (e.g., Hazmat endorsement if applicable) Experience navigating GPS navigation systems efficiently during long-haul trips Strong understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations as well as hazardous materials regulations for safe transportation of dangerous goods Prior delivery driver experience involving freight transportation across multiple states or regions is highly desirable Join us to drive your career forward!
