CDL Truck Driver

About the role Wendler Inc. is looking for a reliable and hardworking Truck Driver to join our construction team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in the safe and timely transport of materials and equipment to and from job sites. This hands-on role also includes performing general labor tasks when not driving, supporting crews as needed based on the project schedule. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks and haul equipment or materials as directed Perform thorough daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks Assist with loading and unloading of materials and equipment Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles Follow all DOT and company safety policies and procedures Remain flexible and responsive to changing job site needs and assignments This position is designated as a safety-sensitive role. Truck Drivers are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure their well-being and the safety of others. This includes, but is not limited to, the responsible handling of materials and equipment, and adhering to all workplace safety guidelines and regulations. Skills and Attributes Strong commitment to safe work practices and procedures Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions High attention to detail, especially regarding vehicle inspections and load securement Willingness to learn and adapt to varying job site conditions Dependable, team-oriented, self-motivated and strong work ethic. Requirements Valid CDL license required. Clean driving and safety record required. Prior construction or field work experience preferred. Prior heavy haul experience preferred.
