CDL Instructor/Examiner
Dynamic ManagementAbout the Role Tampa Truck Driving School is hiring a CDL Instructor who also holds a current Florida Third-Party CDL Examiner certification . This role combines instructional duties with official CDL skills testing. Per state and federal conflict-of-interest requirements, this individual will never administer a skills test to a student they personally trained. Requirements Current, valid Florida Third-Party CDL Examiner certification (required — not something we will sponsor or wait on) Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record Minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience Prior experience as a CDL instructor preferred Clean background check and ability to pass a DOT physical/drug screening Strong communication skills; comfortable teaching adult students with varying experience levels Understanding of and strict adherence to examiner conflict-of-interest rules (no testing of one's own trainees) Responsibilities Provide instructor-led, hands-on training to students Use established training materials/methods to prepare the student for the Class A CDL exam Complete daily timesheets for students Conduct mock tests with students Assess proficiency of the students knowledge Provide training in compliance with all local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and laws Other duties as assigned Health insurance is offered at 90 days of employment and is 100% covered by the company.
