CDL Instructor

Description Are you a truck driver with over 3 yers of experience and looking for a local job that keeps you in the industry? Could you teach someone else how to do what you do and share your knowledge with them? If so, we need great teachers and we’d like to meet ,you, a skilled Instructor who could nurture students’ potentials for growth. Our instructors work with small groups of students (3:1 or 4:1) to prepare them for their newly chosen career. Our instructors provide training that covers anything required by FMCSA to satisfy ELDT certification requirements in Behind The Wheel portion. A great teacher will be able to make difficult concepts simple to understand and will follow training tailored by us in collaboration with Texas DPS to prepare students for their Final Road Test. We want instructors who are enthusiastic about mentorship and can communicate effectively to ensure the successful development of students. Responsibilities and Duties : Work 4 days (Between Mon-Friday) 10 hours shift (8:00 am - 6:00 pm) - LUNCH 12:00pm-12:30pm Evaluate students’ academic progress towards a ELDT Certification. Prepare and deliver lectures and other instruction in our specifically tailored training program. Prepare students for their Pre-trip Inspection Test. Train students yard maneuvers. Provide Behind The Wheel Training. Write weekly training schedule for students. Maintain current knowledge of methods, materials, technologies and professional literature in area of specialization; write research papers and reports; publish material that can be used by future students. Location : 1 Chisholm Trail Rd, Ste 450, Round Rock, TX, 78681 Requirements and Qualifications: High school diploma. 3 years CDL Class A driving experience. Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen. No major violations/accidents on Motor Vehicle Record. Knowledge of 10-speed manual transmission. Oral / Writing Skills. Able to stand for long periods. Positive attitude. Ability to lead a group and keep them engaged. Traveling Instuctor : Travel to newly opened locations to establish and train staff. Program Director : Corporate Position to oversee Training Program in multiple locations. 3rd Party Examiner : Obtain certification to be able to administer tests.
