CDL Driver / Non-CDL Driver Lumberyard Associate

Overview We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join our team as CDL Driver / Non-CDL Driver Lumberyard Associates. This dual-role position involves delivering materials, operating trucks, and assisting in the lumberyard. We are hiring two candidates: one with a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to handle delivery driving and truck operation, and another with a standard driver’s license who will also support lumberyard duties. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a hands-on role that combines driving with warehouse work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery trucks, including flatbed trucks, to transport lumber and building materials to various locations. Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage. Conduct delivery driving tasks, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Assist customers in the lumberyard by loading materials onto their vehicles or assisting with inventory management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lumberyard area. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely deliveries and efficient yard operations. Requirements Valid CDL license required for the driver handling deliveries; standard driver’s license acceptable for the other role. Prior experience in delivery driving or operating flatbed trucks is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks regularly. Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. Reliable work ethic with punctuality and dependability. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
