Duty/Role – Driver Job Description – The Tractor-Trailer Driver will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, and materials to customers (internal and external) in a timely and professional manner. This role would primarily be based in Colorado, however may require trips out of state depending on business and customer needs. This role will report to the field service team manager with a responsibility to meet Regional Operations expectations and needs. Rate of Pay – 25-34/Hour L&L Fabrication is an ASME Code vessel shop Holding U and R stamps. We offer ASME-coded work built to spec, along with repairs and maintenance on used pressure-rated equipment. Expected Roles/Responsibilities: Operates a semi-truck and 1ton w/ gooseneck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Expertly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals. Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area. Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete. Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, fuel, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor. Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns. Utilize and follow a three shipper policy, one for sender , one for receiver, and own records. Collaborate effectively with managers, colleagues, customers, and perform duties in a professional manner. Photograph loads as needed for customer documentation requirements and proof of pick up /proof of delivery. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements for the Role: Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points. Ability to remain focused in busy environment. Ability to operate a fork truck. Obey and follow all safety rules and regulations on Company and Customer Sites (i.e. FR, Gas Monitors, Steel toe Boots, and other requirements subject to company and customer requirements.) Must have current CDL/Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time. Must be able to travel frequently. Independently secure all loads for safe travel: includes climbing, stooping, wrenching, physically adjusting loaded items to be tied down appropriately.
