CDL Class A / Yard Switcher

Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated CDL Class A / Yard Switcher to join our transportation and logistics team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks within a yard environment to efficiently load, unload, and position freight for delivery or further transport. Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions in yard and route driving environments Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks Switch trailers between dock doors and yard locations to facilitate efficient freight handling Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Assist with route driving when necessary, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight movements, and vehicle maintenance Follow all safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe working environment Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate freight movement and optimize yard operations Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record Experience 1-2 Years Min Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Start time is 7 to 9pm You should be proficient in: DOT Medical Card Loading and Unloading Vehicles Current CDL License DOT & Equipment Inspection Compliance Switcher touch freight Yard Jockey Machines & technologies you'll use: Tractor-Trailer
