CDL Class A Truck Driver

Busy and expanding underground utility company seeks experienced Class A CDL Dump Truck Driver. Plenty of hours and overtime, health/dental benefits after 60 days and we also offer a 401K savings program. Some Saturday work required. EOE Applicants must have proven experience with driving and operating dump trucks, dump trailiers, and flatbeds. This role involves transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring safe and timely delivery. Applicants must submit their DMV Driving Record (current within 30 days) with Application. *If you can get online and print your driving record we will accept that for now too.* You also need to have a current unexpired medical card to drive. Please also bring your Drivers License and Social Security Card. Duties: - Safely operate and drive dump trucks, dump trailers, and flatbeds to transport materials - Load and unload materials at designated locations - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles - Adhere to safety protocols and traffic laws - Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the dump truck Experience: - Previous experience as a commercial driver, particularly with dump trucks, dump trailers and flatbeds - Familiarity with operating other types of vehicles such as tankers, freight, flatbeds, or roll-off trucks - Knowledge of automotive repair basics - Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles Skills: - Commercial driving experience - Ability to operate dump trucks, dump trailers, and flatbeds efficiently - Familiarity with tanker, freight, flatbed, or roll-off trucks is a plus - Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles - Strong attention to detail and safety protocols Applications can be completed Mon-Fri 9am-4pm at: 530 Woodlake Circle, Suite 200 Chesapeake, VA 23320 757-523-8668 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Safety equipment provided Vision insurance Trucking Driver Type: Company driver Solo driver Trucking Route: Local Experience: Driving: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Work Location: In person
