CDL Class A Truck Driver

Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL Class A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across local routes. As a key player in our logistics operation, you'll ensure timely unload processes, maintain excellent driving standards, and uphold safety protocols at all times. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across designated east coast routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with DOT regulations Manage route driving efficiently by planning schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining fuel efficiency Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and other required documentation in compliance with federal regulations Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating tractor-trailers in a local setting Demonstrated ability to drive automatic transmission trucks confidently and safely Experience handling flatbeds is preferred, not required Prior delivery driver experience with freight handling and unload responsibilities Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for cargo management Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving hours, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance Strong route driving skills with the ability to plan efficient deliveries within tight schedules Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a direct impact!
