C & K Box is hiring a dependable CDL A Truck Driver to deliver pallets, shipping boxes, mulch, and related materials throughout Southern Michigan. You’ll work close to home, build relationships with customers, and return home every night. What You’ll Do Safely deliver pallets, boxes, sawdust, mulch, and related materials to customers and company locations. Operate a manual-transmission semi-truck with dry van, flatbed, and dump trailers. Equipment includes a 53-foot dry van, 48-foot flatbed, and 33-yard and 60-yard dump trailers. Make seasonal mulch deliveries using semi-trucks and dump trucks, with peak demand from March through July. Verify products and quantities, inspect and secure loads, and coordinate with forklift and loader operators. Use pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment when needed. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment concerns. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and required driving records. Communicate with the team and customers to keep deliveries running smoothly. Keep your truck and equipment clean and follow company and DOT safety requirements. What We’re Looking For Valid, unrestricted Class A CDL. Ability to operate a manual-transmission semi-truck required. Acceptable driving record and ability to meet required DOT physical, drug-screening, background, and driving-record requirements. At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred but not required. Dry van, flatbed, or dump trailer experience preferred but not required. Safe load-securement practices and attention to detail. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional customer service. Ability to work independently and communicate when schedules or delivery needs change. This is an active driving position that includes climbing into and out of equipment, securing loads, using material-handling equipment, and working outdoors in Michigan weather. Duties may require lifting and handling materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
