CDL A Truck Driver

Fenix Transport is looking for experienced CDL-A drivers to haul freight with our growing Dry Van operation. We move freight safely and on time, and the drivers we work with make that possible. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers pulling 53' dry van trailers, in full compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Pick up, transport, and deliver general freight on schedule, keeping loads secure and in good condition. Plan and adjust routes using GPS navigation to balance efficiency, safety, and on-time delivery. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including brakes, lights, tires, coupling, and trailer condition. Verify freight and paperwork at pickup and delivery; check seals and load securement. Keep accurate Hours of Service records through the ELD, along with bills of lading, fuel receipts, and other required documentation. Stay in close contact with dispatch on ETAs, delays, route changes, and any issues on the road. Represent Fenix Transport professionally with shippers, receivers, and the public. Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). Verifiable commercial driving experience with a safe driving record. Current DOT medical card; ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening. Solid knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service, and ELD use. Confidence with GPS and route planning tools. Experience driving in varied weather, terrain, and traffic conditions. Strong communication skills and a dependable, professional attitude. Registered business entity (LLC or INC). Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
