About the job Pragmatik Trucking Solutions is a small, owner-run carrier based in the Charlotte area. We run dedicated Amazon Relay contract lanes, which means your week is planned before it starts: a fixed domicile, a set number of blocks, drop-and-hook freight, no live loading, and no fighting the load board. We hold an A+ Relay performance score and intend to keep it, which is why we are hiring experienced drivers rather than filling seats, and why we pay more for clean weeks. Contract domiciles are chosen together. Before each term we review the contracts on the Relay board with you and pick the destination based on the payout, so you see what the truck will earn before you commit to the weeks. Because you are paid a percentage, the best-paying contract on the board is the best-paying contract for you. You will be the only driver in your truck. You will be assigned a late-model sleeper tractor with an automated transmission, a full-size raised-roof sleeper, and a working APU, covered by an extended protection plan, so breakdown risk is low and repairs do not come out of your pocket. What you will do Run Amazon Relay contract blocks (13-hour and 37-hour solo blocks) out of an assigned domicile for the length of each contract term, typically 4 to 10 weeks. Reposition between domiciles on paid load-board tours when a term ends. Use the Relay driver app for check-in, trailer swaps, and trip updates, and screenshot the app whenever something looks wrong. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects the same day. Keep ELD logs clean and communicate early about delays, facility issues, or cancellations so we can file disputes on time. What we need from you Valid Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years. Age 23 or older. Clean record: no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, no preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the past 3 years, no DUI or reckless driving in the past 5 years, no serious violations. Clear FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query, current DOT medical card, and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Comfortable being out 4 to 10 weeks at a time and living in the truck. Smartphone with data for the Relay app. Prior Amazon Relay experience is a plus but not required. Experience with automated transmissions and drop-and-hook freight is helpful.
