A Kub Logistics | Day & Night Shifts Available A Kub Logistics is hiring experienced CDL A drivers for local intermodal container work in the Chicago area. If you have intermodal experience, take pride in safe driving, and want to be home every day, we’d like to hear from you. Immediate openings are available. What We Offer Competitive pay $1,300-$2,000 per week Hourly, mileage, or per-load pay options, depending on the position. 1099 independent contractor position. Local runs with daily home time. No-touch freight. Company fuel card. Day and night shift opportunities. Responsibilities Safely transport 20- and 40-foot intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations. Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor, chassis, and container. Check tires, brakes, lights, air lines, coupling equipment, and chassis condition. Verify that containers are properly secured and twist locks are engaged. Safely maneuver, back, and park tractor-trailers in rail yards and customer facilities. Report equipment defects, damage, and safety concerns promptly. Follow applicable DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and rail-yard procedures. Communicate professionally with dispatch and the operations team. Requirements Valid Class A CDL and medical card. At least two years of commercial driving experience . Intermodal experience, including hauling containers on a chassis. Driving record that meets company and insurance requirements. Ability to pass required drug screening and a road test. Familiarity with chassis inspections and container securement. Ability to safely maneuver and park tractor-trailers. Reliable attendance and clear communication. Manual transmission experience is a plus. TWIC card and additional endorsements are a plus. Schedule & Work Location Day and night shifts available. Day shift generally begins around 6 AM . Night shift generally begins around 4–5 PM . Shifts typically run approximately 10–12 hours , depending on workload. This is an on-site driving position.
