ConfidentialJob Overview As a CDL A Driver, you’ll transport freight safely and efficiently while returning home daily. You’ll operate a commercial tractor-trailer, follow assigned routes, and handle cargo according to applicable safety and transportation requirements. This role involves container and intermodal experience 90 percent drop and hook , depending on the load and assignment. Responsibilities Drive commercial trucks on local routes and, when assigned regional 250mi one way routes; use GPS navigation and follow delivery schedules. No touch freight, safe manual-handling practices and equipment as appropriate. Transport cargo that may include dangerous goods; follow hazardous materials requirements when handling regulated loads. Complete vehicle and shipment checks, maintain required records, and report delays, damage, or safety concerns promptly. Your impact: Careful driving and cargo handling help customers receive freight safely and on schedule. Experience Required: Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL A), safe commercial truck driving experience, No SAP. Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; follow applicable hazardous materials rules. Relevant experience may include delivery driving, route driving, truck driving, freight logistics, and truck loading and unloading. Hazmat endorsement and experience with Chicago and Joliet rail yards preferred.
