Cashier/Sales Associate

Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales. Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays to enhance store merchandising efforts. Maintain phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear and friendly communication. Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and monitoring product availability. Supervise or assist junior team members when needed, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellent service. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred; familiarity with retail math is a plus. Strong proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations; experience with cash handling is essential. Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts. Proven customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette. Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies enhances performance.
