Cashier/Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities. Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times. Stock shelves and merchandise displays, maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. Assist with inventory management by participating in stocking activities and product replenishment. Use POS (Point of Sale) systems confidently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges while maintaining a friendly phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone. Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring accurate pricing. Engage in retail math calculations for sales totals, discounts, and change accuracy with basic math skills. Demonstrate knowledge of store products through product demos and sharing retail store product knowledge with customers. Assist in supervising team members when needed, contributing to a collaborative work environment. Skills Proven experience operating POS systems and handling retail sales transactions efficiently. Strong cashiering skills with a focus on cash register operations, cash handling, and cash drawer management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members in person and over the phone. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively. Previous supervising experience is preferred to support team coordination and training efforts. Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales totals, discounts, and change calculations. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and inventory stocking procedures. Experience conducting product demos to enhance customer engagement and promote upselling strategies. Familiarity with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
