Duties Operate the cash register accurately, handling all retail sales transactions with precision and efficiency Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities Manage cash drawer handling responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to maintain an organized and inviting store environment Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts Maintain professional phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or coordinating store activities Promote retail store product knowledge through ongoing learning about merchandise and current promotions Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, especially with cashiering or POS (Point of Sale) systems Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Knowledge of POS systems, cash register operations, and cash handling procedures is essential Experience in merchandising, stock management, and product demos enhances your ability to succeed in this role Prior grocery store experience is advantageous for understanding retail operations in a fast-paced environment Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm fuels exceptional shopping experiences!
